As Aaron Rodgers carved through the Los Angeles Rams’ defense on Saturday night, he tied a playoff record held by a current Jets quarterback.
Rodgers matched Joe Flacco’s record for consecutive games with multiple passing touchdowns in the playoffs, according to CBS Sports. Flacco owned the record of eight straight games with multiple passing touchdowns in the postseason until Saturday’s divisional-round matchup, even though he hasn’t played in a playoff game since January 2015.

Now, he and Rodgers share the record.
The former Ravens quarterback last led his team to the playoffs during the 2014 season. The Ravens made it back to the playoffs in 2018, but Lamar Jackson had already assumed the starting role from Flacco by then. After spending time with the Broncos and most recently with the Jets, Flacco hasn’t played late into the winter since.
Joe Flacco Super Bowl
Flacco went 0-4 in place of an injured Sam Darnold this past season with Gang Green. Returning from offseason neck surgery, the 36-year-old veteran helped put together some of the Jets’ best offensive performances of 2020. In five games, he completed 55.2% of his passes for 864 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions.
Joe Flacco Injury
While Flacco contemplates his future, whether it’s in New York or elsewhere in 2021, Rodgers has a chance to surpass his record in next Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.
